Laura McCue is President of White Oak Financial Management, Inc., a Registered Investment Advisor. Laura is passionate about her work in making a positive difference in the lives of her clients. While she uses technical charting strategies seeking to reduce risk and improve performance, her focus remains on the continued progress towards her clients’ personal long-term goals. Laura encourages people to live the life they dream about by aligning their financial choices with their core values.

Laura is also a retirement income-planning specialist. Recognizing the issues facing current retirees and baby boomers nearing retirement, she is able to identify and communicate the key risks to having a lifetime income. She designs personal income planning strategies using an investment model that seeks to provide continuing, inflation-adjusted income throughout retirement.

As an active member of her community, Laura has served on the boards of Asheville Greenworks, The Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy, and Carolina Day School.  Laura has also held leadership positions in the Boy Scouts and Colonial Dames.

Kevin Martin's passion is the skill involved in investment strategy.  His ability to interpret supply and demand technical charting may help our clients maximize returns as well as minimize losses during market contractions.  Kevin has worked as a financial advisor for over 20 years and has been in partnership with Laura McCue for 16 years.  Kevin and Laura have taught many classes and seminars in the Asheville area, most recently on the topic of disciplined investing, demographic trends and the economy.

Kevin is a fitness enthusiast and is an active member of Biltmore Baptist Church.  Kevin also enjoys entertaining audiences with comedy routines and impressions.

Priestley Ford is a partner in the firm and serves as the operations manager.  Her attention to detail and caring attitude ensure that the office runs smoothly and clients' needs are met in a timely and thorough manner.

After graduating from Tulane University in 1983, Priestley worked for 20+ years in New Orleans, Charlotte and Seattle as a litigation paralegal in various sub-specialties.  In early 2003, sisters Laura and Priestley formed White Oak Financial Management, Inc. and with Kevin, have enjoyed making every day fun, interesting and successful for their clients and themselves.

Priestley's passion outside of White Oak is animal welfare in our community.  She serves on the Board of the Asheville Humane Society and is a volunteer at the Buncombe County Animal Shelter, which is operated by the Asheville Humane Society.  Her other volunteer interests include serving as President of the Alumni Association of Carolina Day School and as a fundraiser for the United Way Peaks Development Committee.
